This was the first piece I was sort of ecstatic about. Again using Jean Haefle’s background albeit colored, I created a premonition of Pete using acrylic brushes and learning about

Mostly using the gouache brushes – of note I discovered I liked the gouache grain brush – especially on the twig. Once again went with the airbrush in the background.

I am excited to be working on illustrating my next book – based on a poem by my daughter Mikaela. It is about an oriole named Pete who darns socks
