Make Art Every Day – post #1

When I discovered ”Make Art Everyday” I learned there was a prompt you could follow each new day to inspire artwork. What a great idea (especially during a pandemic!). I felt a little out of my league to start midstream – so went back to the first prompt. The week features fruits – gives images to choose from. Day one is an orange. I think I chose a little to earnestly for my first contribution – but ultimately decided to make it sing a little abstract. I liked the addition of the polka dot texture mingled with the use of spray paint textures ultimately making me thing about mixed media.

Mostly using the gouache brushes – of note I discovered I liked the gouache grain brush – especially on the twig. Once again went with the airbrush in the background.
